Golf Update: Jonathan Byrd won the PGA event in Las Vegas
The thirty two years old American ace golfer, Jonathan Byrd has made history by being the first golfer in the world to win a PGA (Professional Golfers Association) trophy with a hole in one. The American veteran displayed the best of his class, outclassed
all the rivals, and snatched the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open golf event trophy gloriously.
In the glittering and glamorous golf course of Las Vegas, Byrd played marvellously well and finished the day at seventeen under par. He settled the brawl in the best way. Byrd carded the fourth hole at seventeenth under par and tried his luck for more chances.
He later tried for the fifteenth hole and successfully carded that as well.
During the day’s play, Byrd got lucky when his ball stopped short by dropping into the water pond of the course but after that the American recovered remarkably well saved par. Byrd’s rivals in the final day Martin Laird and Cameron Percy seemed to struggle
and were totally unable to give Byrd a strong challenge. The thirty two year old showed some outrageous techniques with great talent and snatched the lucrative event title of seven hundred and fifty six thousand dollars.
It was no doubt a tremendous effort by Jonathan Byrd and it has certainly given him a strong boost for the further golfing events. After winning the PGA trophy, the American ace seemed pretty excited and happy with his efforts and told the world that it
was a very different and difficult effort for him and he is happy that everything went according to the plans.
Byrd told the world that he is still in shock as the victory is great and overwhelming for him. The recent Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open golf title is his first title in United States after John Deere Classic, which was held in 2007.
Winning a title after a long time has given him a new inspiration as well. While talking about the fact, Byrd said that he is simply in peace now as he has snatched his good playing form back and now he is feeling much confident to participate in other big
golfing events.
When Byrd was asked about the challenges from his veteran rivals, Martin Laird and Cameron Percy in the tournament, the American said that Laird and Percy are very good players. They gave him a very strong challenge as well but he just got lucky in the end.
He continued and said that Laird and Percy had a very good chance of winning the game as well but it was a very lucky day for him.
Jonathan Byrd started his professional golfing career in the year 2002 and started his winning streak by winning the Buick Challenge golf event. Byrd said that he wanted to win the tournament and he was trying his level best to concentrate on his performance
during the tournament. The thirty two years old said that he wants to play more now and he is now well motivated for the future events. Later he added and said that this tournament has given him more than expected and he is very happy about everything which
has happened to him so far.
Jonathan Byrd birdied his final three holes at under par sixty eight. On the other hand, Martin had a good chance of getting back in to the game but he missed the final putt and failed to defend his title.
After the tournament, Martin expressed his thoughts very confidently and told the media that Byrd did an awesome job and it is very well deserved victory for him. He added and said that all the participants were playing a good game but Byrd truly outclassed
everyone.
