Golf Update: Live leader board Barclays Singapore Open 2010
Chris Wood and Kim Bi-o smacked a 63 in the first round of the Barclays Singapore Open 2010 and took the lead.
Wood drafted a round of six birdies and one eagle on the Tanjong Course at the Sentosa Golf Club, while Kim surged from behind to card an identical round. The 22-year-old lurched three successive birdies before drafting an eagle at the sixth hole to wrap
the front nine with a 31. The player, who seized the top 3 spot in Open Championship 2009, fired three more birdies in the back nine to settle with a score of eight- under- par.
He was joined by a Korean, who shot a 33 in the front and 31 in the back nine to surge up. Japan's Shigeki Maruyama made a seven–under –par and seized the second place, whereas, Gareth Maybin took the third place by firing a 6-under. Three strokes behind
was Jamie Donaldson, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Y E Yang and Kiradech Aphibarnrat who signed for a score of five-under-66 to take a share in fourth spot. Jamie Donaldson drafted seven birdies against two bogeys and fell three strokes behind the leaders.
Darren Clarke was handily placed at four under after fifteen holes followed four birdies on the front nine. He shared the temporary placement with 2010 Masters Champion Phil Mickelson, Matteo Manassero and Thongchai Jaidee.
Francesco Molinari and Graeme Mc Dowell placed a score of two-under after five holes. The duo was joined the USPGA champion Martin Kaymer. The defending champion of the tournament (Ian Poulter) have not teed off yet.
According to the format, each player will take his turn on Tanjong and Serapong course. However, he will then shift to the Serapong course to decide the final winner.
This is it for the first round of the Singapore Open, which has been sponsored by Barclays. Half of the field have completed the first round, whereas, rest is yet to come out. Chris Wood and Kim Bi-o have taken the highest spot of the leader board by far
however, in few hours time the actual leader will come forward.
