Golf Update: No sign of Tiger in the woods, DJ, Johnson and Mickelson wagered to win the 2010 Tour Championship.
This week’s wagering odds have appeared in the sportsbook and has placed Matt Kuchar and Dustin Johnson as the top choices. These two have been placed on the top and have been marked as choices who will probably win the weeks championship. Currently, the
Tour Championship is underway.
The golf odds stated in the books has led many critics to believe that Kuchar and Dustin would be the hot favourite, as they are envisaged for the Tour Championship win. The presumed hot favourite however aren’t what the critics believed. The Tour Championship
starting today has only 30 golfers who will be teeing off. The event where these thirty golfers are appearing does not however contain the all-famous Tiger Woods. Considering the absence of Tiger Woods from the game, Kuchar and DJ were presumed as the favourites
in the FedEx Cup standing on the number 1 and 2 spot.
The standings, though, played a converse game and didn’t show these two at the number 1 and 2 at all. Johnson is standing at the co-second choice at plus 800 and Kuchar is at the third choice with +900. Their second and third places nonetheless haven’t made
them more favourite than Phil Mickelson. Mickelson is ranked at the +700 and is wagered to win this time’s Championship, as he did in the year 2009 Tour Championship.
The PGA Tour event is being held at the East Lake GC, Atlanta which has a 70 Par and a yardage of 7154. It started today at the 16th of September and will continue till the 19th of this month which is being telecasted by the Golf, NBC.
Considering the best bet, Matt Kuchar, stands at +900. Even though he was suffering from illness, he had still managed to end his game in the top ten with the 3rd position at the BMW Championship. From a total of 11 tournaments Kuchar has played,
he finished within the top ten lists of 8 events. The thirty two year old has been playing a remarkable game at the PGA Tour 2010 and is wagered to continue his unwavering game till the end to win the tournament.
Another Best Bet is Steve Stricker at the plus 800. Last year Stricker finished at the 6th spot and is much more liked than DJ and the lefty because of his consistency. He achieved an impressive 3rd position at the Barclays with a ninth
and 8th position at the Deutsche Bank and the BMW Championship. His winning shot at the end of this week’s Championship was much liked by everyone in the crowd.
The best underdog bet is Jason Day with +3000. His finish at the BMW Championship has given him every possible right to bounce off that 54th spot. This golfer is currently standing at number 6 on a field that contains 30 players in it.
Considering DJ and Phil Mickelson, Johnson can easily win second straight and so can the lefty since he was able to turn his BMW game around and is the winner of the 2009 Tournament. This makes the lefty stand at +800 and DJ at +700.
Then there is Adam Scott who has plus 1500. Considering his performance at the FedEx Cup, it has been one worth the praise. Adam Scott has very efficiently attained remarkable positions with the exceptional quality of his game. Scott achieved position numbers
9, 5 and 15 in his previously played three tournaments and his chances of winning this tournament are huge as well.
With no sign of Tiger in the woods, the green fields are all clear for any of the above players to grasp the cup in their hands.
