Golf Update: Paula Creamer yells I want more
Paula Creamer is still on the course with a bandage on but no trouble.
The 23-year-old Paula Creamer has been getting a really tough time, and a strict inquiry after her failure of winning the Evian masters, France.
However, the interrogation time is over as Woman’s British open approaches. Paula Creamer after her victory at U.S. Women's Open Oakmont is looking for more victories. Her whole career has been about majors, as that was the only missing card in her pack. After winning the title of US open, she is all determined to win the British open as well.
Paula Creamer learned her lesson in a tough way. Thrice victory at the US open was so near but her bad decision making resulted in it getting out of hand.
In 2005, at Cherry Hills, she was one shot away from the lead that she ended with a 79, which resulted into a disappointment.
In 2008, at Interlaken, she was all set to take a position in the final group when she shot 41 on the front nine and ended with a 78 on the leader board.
In 2009, at Saucon Valley, she was lagging by one shot to get into the 3rd round, that she took a shot at the third green which resulted into a triple bogey driving her down into 79.
However, Paula Creamer is a keen learner and she did it the same way Lorena Ochoa did and won the US open championship. Although she had recently went through a thumb surgery and was seen with a bandage on the course of Oakmont, the 23-year-old did not give up and earned a 4 shot victory.
Thanks to David Whelan her coach, she has following achievements so far; nine victories and one major. She has been a part of the three winning Solheim Cup teams, and has lost two matches out of 14. She defeated Laura Davies in an opening singles match of her first Solheim Cup when she only 18-year-old.
Paula creamer started with first LPGA Tour event just a week before her high school graduating ceremony. She not only has learned fast regarding the golfing techniques, but she has also matured as a person. However, she needs to improve her interpersonal skills of dealing with corporate executives. After all that is the place where your endorsements come from!
Victory and fame does not come that easily and this can be seen from the fact that Annika Sorenstam, who is also the part of the tour has won only once in her 10 majors in two years. Se Ri Pak has won two majors as a rookie. Whereas. Karrie Webb has managed to win only one major in her fourth season, on the LPGA Tour.
Paula Creamer is 23, however she was really concerned about her golfing career since that thumb injury she had in the sixth year on tour. For her, winning her first major was a matter of concern. Paula Creamer is No. 7 according to the official women’s world ranking; Cristie Kerr, Jiyai Shin, and Ai Miyazato are the ladies that are at the top with No. 1 ranking.
The 23-year-old American wants to be the No. 1 ever since she started playing golf, and second to Annika Sorenstam in the bank.
Yankees are in the mood to capture the Claret jug for the 3rd time in the year. Earlier Cristie Kerr won the LPGA Championship with a lead of 12 shots, whereas Paula Creamer won at the US open by four shots.
Paula Creamer has made a big statement by saying that she will take the trophy of the British open 2010 home from Royal Birkdale, and if she succeeds, then it will be for the very first time after 1999, that an American won three majors in the same season.
