Golf Update: Phil Mickelson aiming high despite of suffering from arthritis
The forty years old American ace golfer Phil Mickelson is performing well in the HSBC Championship golf event and is of the view that the arthritis is not creating a lot of trouble for him during the competition.
It is very important for a sportsman to stay fit and ready to play but diseases like arthritis can become very lethal for an athlete, as it causes a lot of pain and can drag a sportsman out of the playing field forever. It is to be remembered that the American
veteran golfer Phil Mickelson has been suffering from arthritis from the summer of this year. After that, the American has not been able to give very impressive results.
Now Phil is struggling to claim the world number one title of golf while competing in the HSBC Golf Championship, which is being held in China these days. When he was asked about his condition, the golfing veteran told the media that currently he is feeling
no difficulty while playing in China.
Mickelson says that his medicine is proving to be very helpful to him and he is feeling very fit and he can deliver the best game in China. He added and said he has been using one drug and so far, he has not faced any sort of fitness difficulty while playing.
The current world number four golfer Mickelson first revealed that he has been suffering from arthritis in August after participating in the Bridgestone Invitational. It is also to be notified that there is a very vivid difference between the performances
of Mickelson before and after hitting the arthritis. His best performance after May was in US Open golf event where he finished at the eighth spot.
When he was asked about the matter, the forty years old golfing champ told the media that he has been very unlucky as he could not deliver the way he wanted to but he is happy with the fact that he is still playing a better game. Phil added and said that
he is very happy and excited to participate in the HSBC golf tournament as he can usurp the world number one rank from the British ace Lee Westwood by performing brilliantly well and winning the event.
While talking about his physical fitness, the American said that he is feeling much better because of the medicine but he will try to work out a little to stay fit and physically active. The performance of Mickelson in the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor was pretty
impressive and his performance was admired by many sporting critics as well.
It is no doubt that the remarkable effort in the prestigious Ryder Cup and a smashing win over Peter Hanson in the singles game has given him a lot of boost. But the real test has just started for the American because he is one of the contenders for the
world’s top rank of golf and he is competing against the world’s best golfers.
While talking about the matter, Phil said that his performance at Celtic Manor was no doubt very memorable for him as it was for the first time after hitting the arthritis he had played perfectly well. The American expressed his aims and ambitions while
talking to the media and said that currently he is feeling fabulous and he will try his level best to outclass his rivals.
The world number four is paired with the current world number one British top golfer Lee Westwood in HSBC Championship. It is now up to the forty years old to give his best to take the lead over the point’s table.
Now the question arises whether the American ace Phil Mickelson will be able to snatch the world’s top rank of golf from Lee Westwood or not; only the time will tell.
