Golf Update: Rumour has it that the world number one Tiger Woods might disappear from the Ryder cup team
Bad news for the world number one, Tiger Woods, claims the media news nowadays, that chances are he will out of the Ryder cup team if he is against their interest.
Tiger failed to fall in the top 10 of the leader board which means that he won’t be one of the thirty players who will be playing in the Tour championship which is due next week. To qualify the Tour championship, the prerequisite was necessary to achieve but as Tiger could only manage to finish at the 15th spot and that too in a tie, therefore he lost his last hope.
Moreover, he gave an average performance in the four day session at the Cog hills although his past experience and victories could have helped him. His four day stats showed 73-72-68-70 which were nowhere near the list of players who were seen in the lead. Although the three leaders could not score very low either but this did not meant that Tiger had to copy them necessarily. The  lowest score of the four day session was a 64  delivered by Matt Kucher, which means that if Tiger  paid little more attention on his shot game, he would have definitely made his way into the top clan of Dustin Johnson, Paul Casey and KJ Choi.
According to the experts, a score of 65 was required in the last round and it was easy to achieve it, if only Tiger would have picked pace in the back nine. Tiger was over the par throughout the front nine and he continued it till the 17th fairway, where he managed to birdie the hole and break the par.
Furthermore, he was one under which denotes that he rose in the Fed ex standings from the 52nd place to the 42nd. However, he is likely to stay there rest of the season. As for the Ryder cup, rumours prevail that that he might not make it to the Celtic Manor as one more tournament is left and Tiger has missed the cut to that last but the most important tournament of the playoff series. Tour championship is the only tournament that Tiger Woods has missed in 2010 but he might pay a heavy price for it in the form of losing the title of the FedEx Cup champion.
As for the Ryder cup contention, the media reports show a lot of disagreements. At one place, the news says that the world number will go to Wales as Corey Pavin has been found saying that Tiger will be given a chance to compete in the big event. However, he might not play in all five matches but that again is the call of the captain.
Coming to the captain, Pavin says that he is going to treat all the players similarly as the ultimate objective of the team is to win the Ryder cup. Treating the team equally meant that it was him to decide which player will play in all five matches. He further added that he had discussion with Tiger Woods and the player is ready to accommodate the team in all possible manners. Tiger has agreed to go with the captain’s plan as winning the Ryder cup for the country holds the highest priority for him.
As for Tiger’s Ryder cup history, he has picked up 11 points from a possible 25 in the Ryder Cup. Moreover, he has won three out of five singles matches and seven of twenty matches in foursomes and four balls. He missed the US victory at 2008 Ryder cup which took place in Valhalla, New York. If he misses this Ryder cup as well, then it will be the third Ryder cup without him. Earlier it was in 2006 and 2008.
In the end, one liner is enough to wrap the rumour prevailing now days, Tiger might be kicked out of the Ryder cup after the Tour championship, for the betterment of the team.
