Golf Update: Ryder Cup 2010- Poulter denies all forms of ban on usage of Twitter
Ian Poulter says that no Twitter or Facebook ban has been put by their captain of the European team.
Poulter continues his love for the site and is constantly in contact with his friends, fans and families through Twitter. In fact, the 34-year-old has insisted that no order close to such news as been laid for the team. He clarified, that
Colin asked them to avoid such activities, as it might be nuisance for team’s privacy. Rest, he did not stop any one from using it.
“It's not a ban because if somebody does it how can you punish someone for it? It's not a ban,” said Poulter.
According to the media reports, Poulter is not the only player who is constantly tweeting. From the American side, Stewart Cink tweet last time when he reached the airport of Cardiff. To be precise, he wrote that he lied about not tweeting anymore and he
urged America to pull hard for the team so that they return back home as the champions.
Earlier, the US Open champion tweeted that he won’t be using the site till he reaches home, as the captain as urged the entire team to refrain from such activities.
These speculations are arising in result of the order issued by both the captains at the press conference on Monday morning. The order was, not to use Facebook, Twitter and any other social networking site so that no private information leaks out to the
press and hence makes situation messy for any of the teams. Monty especially urged his players that he did not wanted a mess like Kevin Pietersen being created during the most important event of the two years. Ryder Cup takes place after every two years, thereby
it is considered as the most prestigious event.
At the end, Ian Poulter, the European Ryder team player has denied any sort of ban being put on the team regarding usage of Twitter and Facebook.
More news will be coming on the Ryder Cup, but for now, this is all. So till more rumours pour in, keep watching golf replays and keep your fingers crossed for your teams.
