Golf Update: Ryder Cup 2010- Tiger Woods roars in the practice session at Twenty ten course
Tiger Woods is ready to steal the show and he has started its drill from today. The world number one has made his first shot at a distance of 465-yards which is massive.
The practice session is in progress at the twenty ten course of Celtic Manor. The American team along with its captain, Corey Pavin is in high spirit despite, the overcast weather and the dark grey sky of Wales. The team was photographed earlier in cream
sweaters, grey trousers and grey baseball caps.
Tiger started to tee off from the front nine with Zach Johnson, Hunter Mahan and Steve Stricker. He made a splendid first shot that drove all the way to the 465- yards. In just few minutes, the gallery started to increase in size to witness the player who
was wearing a grey sweater instead of red. Tiger’s roar took his fellow team members with applause and exchanged eye contact with Steve Stricker who will be his playing partner on Friday. He was followed by the second American four balls of Matt Kuchar, Stewart
Cink, Jim Furyk and Jeff Overton. The last of the four balls to take over the field was comprised of world number two Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson.
The Americans started from the front nine, whereas the Europeans took over from the 11th tee of the back nine. As for the world number one Woods, he was the eye catching sensation of the day, as the least was expected from him. This is Tiger
Wood’s sixth Ryder Cup appearance this week at the majestic course of Celtic Manor.
The 34-year-old had earlier said "morning guys" to a small group of British spectators as the US team emerged from the Twenty Ten clubhouse to pose for their official team photographs in front of the 18th green.
Tiger will make the critics eat their words and this is evident from his first shot that gave jitters to the European players However, this is just the starting and currently Tiger is trying to figure out the course of 7378-yards.
