The D.A Weibring Intercollegiate ended this Sunday the 3rd after its play suspended on the previous Saturday night. The event was hosted by Illinois State and was swarmed with 18 competitive teams striving for the win. Team Illinois won the team
title with beating the runner-up Iowa State by 28 strokes.
Out of the competition, the 14th place was claimed by the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) men’s golf team. The leader board displayed the team’s total score to be a 944. In the three rounds of the tournament, the team carded its

The Saturday-night play suspension due to darkness changed the format a bit. The golfers were made to play their second round at the third scheduled play whose finish was immediately followed by the third and last round of the game.
The Cougars form the SIUE team managed to play a considerably improved game in the first two rounds. The five players collectively played a rather good play by lowering their scores and leading the overall score to face a drought of 20 strokes.

McCarty to card a 75, as he displayed his team best of plus 15 with a 228.

On the other hand, Taylor Cox and Nick Nuzzo displayed disappointing appearances. Cox was the leader of the Cougars at their last event at Weibring Golf Club but faltered this time. The freshman only managed to card a total score of 247.
