Golf Update: The Turning Stone Resort Championship
This is the season of golf and it does not seem to come to a halt! The Turning Stone Resort Championship is scheduled from the 2nd of August to 8th August 2010, at the Atunyote Golf Club.
The Turning Stone Resort Championship is the first event that is scheduled annually under PGA Tour to be played on American Indian Lands in fall. It was in 2007, when for the very first time this events premier was launched.
The course will be giving a tough challenge during the first three rounds, partially because of the weather conditions that are forecasted to be very harsh and secondly due to the changes bought in the course. Few more yards have been added to the 15th and the 17th hole of par4.Couple of water hazards are infused in the middle of the 11thand 13th green.
Talking about the course, the Atunyote Golf Club which was opened in 2004 is located in Verona, New York. It is stretched on 7,315 yards with the longest tees for a par of 72.It has been designed by Thomas Fazio.
Moving forward to the betting favourites for the event, which will be taking place under the scorching heat and temperature in 80s;
Brendon de Jonge
The player, with 384 birdies from 84 rounds is the betting favourite. He has banked an approximate amount of $1.8m in 2010.His seven recent events have shown very satisfactory results and his performance is picking up a pace towards improvement. Following are his positions, which he took in the tournaments in which he made the cut.  T12-T33-T9-T33-T7-T13-3.
This Zimbabwean, is very confident after his final round at the Greenbriar Classic here he finished third. According to the analysts, Brendon de Jonge is not only confident , but it seems that he is moving in the right direction of becoming one of the greatest players in the history of golf.
Brendon de Jonge has not only played on this course but he has taken an impressive T13 position in 2007.Since then he is consistently improving by all standards and there seems no doubt of him losing the game.
John Senden
Another Australian who can set the course on fire will be John Senden .This year was the most successful for the 39-year-old. Not only he enjoyed most of the victories of his career in this season, but he also banked on lots of foreign currency.
His achievements start from a T12 position attainment at the John Deere Classic, moving to T48 at the Open Championship and T21 at the Greenbriar Classic, which finished last week. He performed tremendously well at the tournament where he shot 60’s in all four rounds.
Moreover, this course will suit the John Senden style of game that is fast and aggressive on the sand belts. His past record on the venue has shown favourable results of T3-T27-5 in 2004, 2007 and 2009, respectively.
Greg Chalmers
John Senden’s compatriot Greg Chalmers is   the third betting favourite. The reasons that backs this choice is his top 5 finishes in this season including the T4 at the RBS Canadian Open 2010.
He performed tremendously well in this season accept for the Bob Hope Classic in which he finished  at T51.Although he carded 60s in three rounds of the tournament, his last round finished with a ‘70’,which happens to be the worst score of his career in this season.
Not to forget, it was Greg Chalmer who chased Tiger Woods in 2009 at the Buick Open in Michigan and ended as T2.
These were the betting favourites of Turning Stone Resort Championship, which is taking place at the Atunyote Golf Club, New York from 2nd August to 8th August 2010.The event is going to gather the biggest names of the golf.
According to the experts, Brendon de Jonge is that one player, who not only is confident but his game has been improving slowly and steadily. Therefore, chances are that he is the prospect winner of the tournament.
