Golf Update: Tiger Woods’ getting ready for Whistling Straits
Tiger Woods’ stops at the greens during the practice match to sign auto graphs at the Whistling Straits, where the 92nd PGA championship is taking place on 12th August -15th August 2010.
The championship with purse of $1,350,000 is taking place at Kohler, Wisconsin. Although practice matches are currently being held at the venue, even then fans are found surrounding the world number 1.
Sadly, every sweet and positive gesture turns into a night mare as soon as Tiger Wood’s name is fitted into the situation. This is what happened when Tiger woods’ stopped to sign autographs. A sudden pushing started from the fifth or sixth person in the queue. Resultantly, kids who were standing in the front were pushed towards the iron barricade that was sealing the green and started to cry. Havoc took its toll and the crowd was quickly dispersed by the security people. However, Tiger Woods didn’t notice anything! His own life is filled with havoc. After some time, Justin Leonard was standing at the same spot for auto graph signing and nothing happened. The situation was serene the way a practice session should be.
Just accept it; the king of the Jungle is still Tiger, despite all the scandals and worse putting. It really doesn’t matter if he shoots at 65 or a 77 at the Firestone Country Club. What matters is that he is in the news for everything! Magazines make money by posting his name on the front page. He is still in the headlines and golf lovers are always in a curiosity to find out what is the world number 1 doing? He is Justin Bieber in the world of golf.
After all, who can hit the range balls for consecutive session still keeping the attention of the spectators intact within the realms of the course?
As for the media, if they want to spot him in the practice session of the PGA championship, all they have to do is look for the biggest crowd. This is what they did and they found him, when he had already hit 15 balls on the driving range by 6 am in the morning. He played 18 holes with his caddie Steve Williams on his side.
Moreover, when he approached the 18th tee, he got surrounded by the much awaiting fans and media who asked him several questions regarding his upcoming event and his expectations. Tiger Woods answered with a smile which he seldom uses nowadays.
However, it seems Tiger Woods is trying to put himself back to work by paying attention to his swings and putting. He was seen shooting four big pails of Nike balls for two consecutive hours even after his practice session was over. Steve Williams repetitively, held a club shaft against Tigers' head when he swung. Steve Williams is performing dual roles one of a caddie, and the other of a coach. Together they have to bring in minor adjustments for the player who once swung the club with utile perfection.
A little later, when Tiger Woods was finished with the practice session on the greens of Whistling Straits, he signed few more autographs and walked towards the parking lot. At 12:46 p.m., Tiger sat in his silver Mercedes-Benz SUV, along with Steve Williams and drove off.
This was the practice session for the 92nd PGA championship, which is taking place on 12th August -15th August 2010 at the Whistling Straits, Kohler, Wisconsin. However, this is not the only event in which Tiger Woods will be making appearance. He is due to attend the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions at Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai in November 4th -7th   2010. This is the same event in which Tiger Woods finished as runner-up in 2005 and 2006.Although the event is being organized for tournament winners of the season 2010 and Tiger Woods hasn’t got a single victory but he has made the cut for being in top25 of the FedEx ratings.
