Golf Update: Tiger Woods snatched the lead in California
The American golf legend Tiger Woods has finally shown some good form in the first round of the ongoing Chevron World Challenge golf championship, which is being held at the Thousand Oaks in at Sherwood Country Club in California. Woods has performed staggeringly
well to take the lead of the event after the first round.
The current year has been a very disappointing year for the former world champ Woods as the mental suffering due to his personal life dragged him away from the world of golf as well as from the good playing form. These days the golf veteran is trying his
luck hard to clinch his first victory in the current year and so far, his recent performance in the Chevron cup has given him a new inspiration.
Tiger Woods recorded a round of sixty five under par after the first day’s play. It tremendous finish of sixty five under par has given him a lead of one stroke over his rival. The European golfing giants Rory Mcllroy and Graeme McDowell are also participating
in the contest and they are well ready to give Woods a pretty strong challenge. Currently Rory and McDowell are one shot adrift of Tiger Woods.
By a round of impressive sixty five under par, the American ace Tiger Woods has shown his old touch to his fans. It is to be noticed that Woods has recently lost his world number one rank from his thirty seven years old English arch rival Lee Westwood. However,
in a recent interview Woods had urged that he would improve his game to clinch the top rank of golf back from Westwood. Currently Tiger Woods is residing at the second spot over the international golf ranking’s table.
After the first round of the Chevron World Challenge, Woods seemed pretty satisfied with his performance. While talking to the media the American golfing giant expressed his sheer satisfaction in a relaxed mood. Woods said that he is very happy with the
way he has performed and he is very happy about the fact that everything has gone according to the plans. He said that he is happy that he has managed to play some good shots.
Woods carded a total of thirty two putts in the day. While talking about the matter he said that a round of sixty five under par is very encouraging for him and ending a day on sixty five under par is not at all an easy task.
The victory in the tournament is definitely going to be a dream coming true for the thirty four years old golfing ace Tiger Woods, as he has got over the right performing track after a very long time. When Woods was asked if he has regained his lost wining
form, the current world number two replied that so far he is feeling very confident over his recent performance. He added that obviously, it will take him some time to perform the way he used to perform but he is sure he is going over the right track.
Tiger Woods said that he was looking for to win a round with a good margin and then to aim for a complete tournament. He continued that he has snatched the victory of the opening round of the tournament and now he will try his luck hard to snatch the first
title of the year for him as well.
On the other hand, the Ryder Cup stars Graeme McDowell and Rory Mcllroy are also very close to Tiger Woods over the point’s table after the first round. Graeme and Rory are followed by Stewart Cink and Dustin Johnson over the point’s chart of the Chevron
World Challenge golf event.
Tiger Woods has finally found the right way to clutch the lost prime. Whether he is going to win the event or not; only time will tell.
