Golf Update: Tiger Woods still optimistic despite of losing from McDowell
For the first time in his sparkling professional golf career, the current world number two American golfing legend Tiger Woods has not been able to win a single title in this season. However, despite of losing the recent Chevron World Challenge from his
European veteran rival Graeme McDowell in the play-offs, Tiger Woods is optimistic about the next season of golf.
After a long time Tiger has finally been able to clutch a better playing form as he has not been able to play throughout the season due to his personal life scandals and allegations. Tiger had a very good chance of winning the Chevron Challenge as he had
a four shots lead over his rival before the final round of the event but couldn’t sustain the lead as his ace rival Graeme McDowell displayed a better game and snatched the trophy from him.
Nevertheless, despite of suffering from a disappointing and dramatic season, Woods is feeling confident and upbeat for the upcoming season of golf. In a very recent interview, the current world number two American star Tiger Woods expressed his determination
and plans to the media for the next season. Woods denied the rumours of his sheer disappointment over his performance and said that he is very happy with the way he has improved his game.
While talking about his performance in the Chevron World Challenge golf event in California, Woods said that he has played pretty well in the event and he got really close to the first trophy of the year for him but got a little unlucky in the end. He continued
that he has had a great week in California and so far he is very satisfied with the way he has performed in the event.
Woods said that despite of the fact that he has not won the tournament but he has performed well and that is why he has no regrets over his performance what so ever. While talking about the final round of the Chevron Challenge, the thirty four years old
American golfing giant said that he putted the ball really poorly in the final round of the event. He added that he missed three important putts at the very crucial time and his average performance in the final round of the event gave an easy chance to the
thirty one years old Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell to clinch the cup.
Tiger Woods said that he was not feeling comfortable at all in the final day of the recent event and completely lost his focus in the middle stage of the round. Woods said that he had hit some good shots as well and he is feeling great to play a better game
after a long span.
Woods performance at the Sherwood Country Club in California has been widely praised by many sports critics as well. Woods had sidelined himself from the world of golf for a very long span and his absence from the golf course dragged the American golf legend
out of good playing form. But his recent performance in the Chevron World Challenge is no doubt a sign to sigh for his fans from all around the world.
Woods said that he is still not feeling very comfortable with his swing shot. He said that he was getting very frustrated about his performance but now is he much relaxed as to according to him he has finally found the right winning chemistry of the game.
Woods will now declare his schedule for the next season in the near future. He said that he will try to improve his game further more in the near future. He further stated that if he continues to play like he has played in California, he will surely get
to the top spot of golf pretty soon.
