Golf Update: Tiger says he learned, he bogeyed, but did not lose
Tiger told the press that he did not lose, but he learned from the year, which was apparently winless.
2010 is coming to an end and Tiger Woods is still winless; therefore, media wanted to know how the world number saw it. A video conference took place on Monday at Thousand Oaks in California, where Tiger Woods addressed his experiences and media questions
from his computer.
34-year-old golfer said that he relevantly felt at peace in his private life than he was in the starting of this year. He accepted the fact that he committed lots of mistakes in last two years, which he should not have, but he learned from them.  Each and
every decision made by him gave way to a certain result, which ultimately helped him understand himself.
Tiger Woods made mistakes in his personal life, which ultimately had negative consequences on his career. The seven-time grand slam winner cheated on his wife in November of 2009, which gave way to a divorce in August, 2010. The player lost his swings, his
form and all the titles, which he was defending.
However, after the divorce he took part in the FedEx series in which he improved considerably and hence was picked up by the captain of the United States Ryder Cup team for the biannual event. The richest athlete of the world won his singles against Francesco
Molinari and proved the world that he retained the spark. After the Ryder Cup, the Chevron World Challenge, Australian Masters and the HSBC Championship are the next tournaments in pipe line. The HSBC Championship is due on November 4th in Shanghai.
That will be his last PGA TOUR event and his last chance to break through the curse of winless. The next event will be staged in Melbourne, where the world number one will defend his title at Australian Masters. The last scheduled tournament (Chevron World
Challenge) will take place on December 6th.
Woods has four-times declared his triumph in this event. In last two years, Tiger Woods did not make an appearance there owing to a knee surgery in 2008 and car accident in 2009.
However, this time Tiger is eyeing a victory there, despite the fact that some tough competition will be waiting for him over there. Biggest names of golf will be teeing off at Sherwood Country Club; Jim Furyk, Martin Kaymer, Louis Oosthuizen, Graeme Mc
Dowell, Rory McIlroy, Stewart Cink, Camilo Villegas and Dustin Johnson
Tiger is confident that he has been regaining his form and it is evident from his performance in the Ryder Cup. Tiger gave the best performance of his season in the singles, where he was seven-under after 18 holes.
The world number one said, "My game is coming around, so the way I played at the Ryder Cup ... I know I have two more events prior to the Chevron event. Hopefully, I can get two more Ws before I get to Chevron, and see what happens."
The Ryder Cup player has been working on his swings and in the process he worked with three coaches; Hank Haney, Butch Harmon and Sean Foley. However, he never felt the rapid improvement the way it came with Foley. Tiger has been working with the Canadian
since three months and he is comfortable in his guidance.
Moreover, he is confident that his game is coming back. He said that with a wink. Tiger quoted,
"I don't have it all dialled in yet but I figured if I could play the way I did in the singles match, which I hadn't done that all year, that's a positive sign."
On the whole, Tiger is happy with his improving form and is looking forward to the end of the 2010. Chances are that the world number one will succeed in seizing a victory and defending his title, which is in jeopardy with Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer
proceeding towards it.
