Golf Update: Who will kick Tiger Woods out to be crowned as the new Number One

The clocks are ticking towards the crowning ceremony of a new King. Sunday has been decided by the Official World Golf Ranking as the big moment for a European golfer to take the title from the American.
According to the OWGR, on the coming weekend, the current world number one, Tiger Woods will be released from his title. However, who will be the new number one is the question that has not been decided up till now. Tiger Woods was given the title in 2005
after his tremendous performance in golf, however, in the current year, the 34-year-old has struggled enough to let his title go. He has lost all his defending titles that he won last year including the grand slam, he has been winless in all the Majors and
he is ready to let go the title of a leader, which he retained for 282 weeks.
The question that arises in the minds of the experts is; who will be the next world number one?  Will that be Lee Westwood, or will that be the German who is a four-time winner in this season?
Martin Kaymer, who hails from Germany, is being predicted as the next leader by the media reports, despite the fact that only a week back, he lost the PGA grand slam when he was predicted as the Champion of the Champions. The player has seized four titles
in this year; Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, PGA Championship, KLM Open and Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
The reasoning behind his seizing the title arrives with three conditions; One, Lee Westwood is not hitting balls in the coming week, owing to the foot injury, which he received in Kings Barns when he was eyeing the Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland.
Second, Tiger Woods is having no high hopes till the first week of November, when he will make his way to Shanghai to compete for the HSBC Championship. Lastly, the 25-year-old is in a tough form ever since the Ryder Cup.
Martin Kaymer possesses yet another edge; He will be teeing off in Valderrama, Spain for the Andalucía Valderrama Masters. The golfer recorded a runner-up position on the same venue in 2008 at Volvo Masters, which means it will be quite easy for the player
to seek a new record there. Kaymer needs a finish in the first two spots.
Despite these positives, analysts at bettor.com state that Martin Kaymer will not become the world number one. There are two reasoning behind this deduction; Firstly, Kaymer will be facing a very strong field with golfers like Miguel Angel Jimenez, Ross
Fisher and Graeme Mc Dowell; therefore, chances are that he won’t be able to finish in the first two spots. Secondly, Kaymer has never recorded a victory in Spain; thereby, probability is that he won’t card a victory once again.
Similar inclusions came out in reference to Phil Mickelson a month back. The former world number two was speculated to replace Tiger Woods, but despite having several chances, he failed to meet the expectations. Therefore, predictions are that Kaymer won’t
be successful in reaching the top in this week.
However, if one looks at the rest of the media is saying then Kaymer will attain the world number one title, but for a very short span. Very soon, the battle will start between Tiger Woods, Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer and Phil Mickelson, as there will be
a difference of few points between the champs.
This is it for the news that states that the Official World Golf Ranking will be revised in few days and possibilities are that Martin Kaymer will be the new world number despite all odds. The officials will announce the change on Sunday after the Andalucía
Valderrama Masters will side line in Spain.
