mind. These players are more prone to hitting banana-shaped shots. Mount Lawley Golf Club pro, Duncan Kegg, thought of the idea when he employed the iPhone’s spirit level.
This application supervises the player’s forearms and hands at six distinct stages of the swing. A wireless device comes with it that can attach to your golf club. It even gives an audio warning if it takes on an open or closed angle. The inventor had so
much confidence in his notion that he made his own company and hired some investors from the Mount Lawley club in Perth.
They put about $38,000 into creating two applications with the ASC software. The second application they made was called ‘My Golf Bag.’ This application calculates a club’s lie and loft angles and was only released two weeks ago.
As for the iSlice application, it looks like it’s going to be a hit. "Ninety-five per cent of golfers come to me wanting advice on how to fix their slice", Mr Kegg said."If it's really good I'm hoping that I won't be teaching anymore".
The Australian does agree that his drives aren’t always strong and he has initiated bring the new application into his client’s training routine. Kegg said that there’s nothing like this on the iPod Touch or iPhone.
Another golf application for iPhone was launched by the Aberdeen Asset Management. This application is again meant for the amateur golfers to improve their game. It logs each round and score history with a scorecard that can be modified to each hole’s Par,
length and stroke index.
Overall, technology has affected golf as well. Pretty soon, due to the efficiency of these golf applications, the amateurs will be become pro’s without coach’s or teachers.
