  1. Well when I was about  6 I got a golf set and the bag had this thing where it was being held up by pretty much i tripod thing. Maybe you can go to the golf store and see if you can buy stands for it. Sometimes they have them at Golf Town I think if you've heard of that.

  2. I have to agree with Eldonado, having a seperate tripod stand for your golf bag can be quite the hassle.

Usually golf bag manufacturers will have varying styles of bags that way you have a variety to choose from.  Could be that the bag you really like may come in another version with a stand.

Or, if you have a monster bag like the ones made by Ogio, it could be that that size of a bag isn't designed to have a stand because it's just too big.

    Sorry I couldn't assist more.

  3. I am not sure about any tripod, but I used to have a bag that didn't have a stand and somebody gave me a stand that you could tie and hook onto your bag and it worked just like the ones built on.  It was given to me as a gift so I dont know where it came from, maybe an Academy.  You should be able to find something like that if you really dont want to replace your bag.

  4. why not just sell the one you have and get a new one with a stand

  5. About 15 years ago when the stand bag first came out there were a lot of places selling the stands separately that you could attach to your bag.  But with the proliferation of stand bags now, I haven't seen them offered in a long time.  Try Golfsmith, Maltby Golfworks, or Golf Galaxy (their motto is everything for the game) you might still be able to find one.  Alternatively keep the bag that you like, and just lay it down after you have selected your club (like we did for about 400 years before stand bags were invented).

  6. Have never seen nor heard of one. And I'm not surprised. I can imagine that using it would be an incredible hassle: Put bag down. Pull out tripod. Open it. Rest the bag. Hit. Hold bag up. Pick up tripod. Fold it. Put it in bag. Carry bag. Walk to your ball. And do all that again, each and every time. Maybe 70-80 times a round on average.

Uhmm, you may want to seriously consider a stand bag if you're dead set against pull carts.

  7. Return it and get a Besty Johnson style golf bag, just because golfing will make you sweaty does not mean you have to use an ugly bag.

  8. Interesting that you would not buy a bag with a stand feature.

Ive been playing golf since I was 5, and I can honestly say I have never seen any tripod thingy holding up a golf bag.  Maybe you can return it, and get one with a stand.  It will make all the difference.
