Fellow golfers, I would like have any one have try the new Wilson 50/50 golf ball? I would like to know your pros and cons about it. Off the tee, around the greens, ang putting. From what I have read about it suppose to reduce spin for more distance.

thanks...

  1. Well,  Very long, low spin, and very hard to get a consistent bounce with when chipping.  I have to say this ball is correctly priced, as it is merely a distance ball and nothing else.  At least go with a titleist HVC soft or something if you are not willing to buy nice golf balls.  I only use this ball when the winds are over 35mph.  I give it a solid 5/10...

  2. The ball is hella long, Ive never over shot a green in like 6 years and the first time i played with it I over shot on the first four greens VERY SOFT. I cant pull it back like i can a PROV i can get it about 4 - 6 i pull the PV 6 -8. To mushy on the green but what a price geez way cheap 17$ . Its ok i give it  8 /10

  3. I tried one last fall and didn't care for it.  It felt mushy to me like the Nike Mojo.  From what I understand it is very low compression which should allow you to compress it like crazy, but it didn't do anything for me.  I still like the Pinnacle Exception for an inexpensive ball that flies long but still has a soft feel around the green.

  4. It's almost even in terms of distance.  Way behind the "tour" models in terms of spin.

go to golf.com, they have a very extensive test on golf balls, w/ the 50/50 included.

  5. i have no clue

  6. My partner in two golf leagues got a sleeve of these free from a supplier at work and it is now the only ball he plays.

His handicap is 12 and he likes the distance it gave hime off the tee as well as the spin he was able to put on it from about 85 yards in.

I played a few holes with it and found ot comparable to the less expensive Callaway or Nike balls on the market.

Like it was mentioned above - the pricing on this is pretty accurate.
