  1. I'm not really sure what fits you but I wouldn't just take a big brand.  you can just see what  you hit the best and take it!   I have the 16 degree hibore driver, cleveland halo 3i hybrid, cleveland cg4 irons, cleveland 56 degree sand wedge and odyssey putter #6.  my favorite brand is cleveland, as you can see.

  2. I like cleveland and adams the best. i use adams irons and hit them better than any other irons i've ever had. i use cleveland 1,3,5 woods. and hit them better than ive ever hit woods.

  3. The Calloway x20 are a very nice and forgiving club.  So if you are not a scratch golfer (which I am def. not) these are perfect clubs

  4. I used to have a Ping G5 driver and I was always pushing the ball way right.  I found a TaylorMade Burner at a decent price and decided to give it a try.  That was the greatest equipment purchase I ever made.  The Burner has been a huge asset to my arsenal.  I added 20 - 30 yards on my drives because of it.  But I did i TaylorMade Corzina putter and I played w/ it twice, and I sold it right away. I couldnt putt good w/ it at all.  But all in all Taylormade is a geat golf equipment company, and I would recommend them to everybody.  And they are the #1 Driver in Golf.

  5. I have recently bought a new callaway driver and i am not able to use it very well i think you should go round some of the shops and testing some of the clubs before purchase and see which one suits you.

  6. Make sure you get them fit, no matter what brand you choose. Otherwise, you'll be throwing money down the toilet.

  7. It's nice to say that feel is the only real factor for making a decision, but the real truth is you have to decide what your price threshold is first.  I just bought new clubs and that is what I did before I wasted time out on the practice tee hitting a bunch of clubs I realistically would never purchase.  Against what most of the other guys here said, I bought the new Nike Slingshot 4D irons.  I hit the ball solid and straight every time.  I tried the Cobra FP's and s9's, Callaway Big Bertha's and X-20's, Taylormade r7's, and Cleveland CG Gold's.  I'd say pretty much covers every club manufacturer in the $600 price range.  The Nike's just worked for me....perfectly.  Now, the driver is a whole different story.  I ended up with the Callaway FT-i 10 degree draw driver for 2 reasons.  One, I absolutely crushed the ball straight down the middle.  And two, I bought a $500 driver for $200 because my buddy won it in an raffle and already has a driver he's comfortable with.  But if I didn't like it and couldn't hit it, I wouldn't have bought it even if it was $50.  So basically, just head down to the local pro shop and hit a bunch of different clubs you can afford until it just feels right!!!

  8. The only way to find out which club is best for you is to take a 5 iron of the brands you're intersted in and hit them all and see which one feels the best to you.  People go by brands too often and less on how they feel.  Golf is a game of feel, so if a 100 dollar set of irons suits you better than a 600 dollar set then use the one that feels best to you. Once you have chosen the best club for you then go to someone to have the clubs custom fit to your individual swing and you will shoot lower scores guaranteed.

  9. If i told you i could hit it 350 with a broomstick would you try it? Don't go on other opinions of what you should by. Take advice on quality of the manufacturer though.

Anyway go to the golf shop and hit every club they have 10 times. Then pick the one that performs the best for you. This is the only way to figure out this problem.

  10. stay away from nike

cobra or taylormade is the best bet

  11. It depends on what your preference is.  I like Nike products before Nike started making golf clubs so it was natural for me to get Nike clubs.  Call it brand loyalty.  I've hit Mizuno irons and they're excellent.  I've hit Ping fairway woods.  They're nice.  With the new year comes demo days at your local golf shops so hit one up and find out which brand you will become loyal to.

  12. Everyone wants an needs are very different when it comes too choosing clubs. The clubs that you have mentioned are very nice clubs and they both make different styles. Most golf shops do have demo clubs, have a round and see how they fit your game

  13. hi. i have been playing golf since march 07 and i recently purchased the ping g10 driver and the mizuno mx 19 irons. The g10 is an absoloutely amazing club. it is very easy to hit. i used to struggle slicing the ball with my old driver but now with the g10 that slice has gone. this club is probobly one of the best drivers out their. Taylormade drivers are very hard to hit so think twice before buying the taylormade clubs. The irons i purchased are also very good 2. the forgiveness of the mx 19's is amazing an again they are very easy to hit. they are very good for the higher handicap player. i would recommend these irons to u. Also as i said with the taylormade clubs nike clubs are also hard to hit. they are more suited to the lower handicapped player.
