My family and I are going on vacation to Virginia Beach in early June and I am looking for suggestions for golf courses in the area. I am probably going to go with my brother in law who is a beginner, so that and price will have to factor. Thank you!

  1. You're in luck, I live in Va. Beach and am an avid golfer. I take it that you'll be staying at or near the Oceanfront. Redwing Golf Course is close to the oceanfront, city owned and reasonably priced. There is Owl's Creek which is also close and a short executive course. For tougher, pricier courses close to the Oceanfront, there's h**l's point, Heron Ridge, the Signature at West Neck, the Virginia Beach National (former Va Beach TPC). Honeybee isn't bad, around $50.00, Stumpy Lake one of the oldest in Va. beach,  There's also Bow Creek, a muni course, not bad, cheap to play. All the courses that I've listed are within 30 minutes of the Oceanfront. Hope this helps. Hit'em good.

  2. Try h***s Creek Golf Course. It is a great course for someone looking for a challenge, but good time.

  3. Virginia Beach isn't known for its great golf unfortunately. I live about 2 hours from there.  There are several very nice private clubs.  As far as public ones go,  there are a handful of decent courses that you will enjoy.  You will not have any problem finding an affordable place to play.

  4. visited this site www.golf.com click on the tab course and travel. just put in the state location and it will show you all the golf course in that location. good luck and have fun..
