  1. the first thing is like some other ppl have said getting proper instruction and get your mechanics right and most importantly practice them and have patience bc its not cured over nite

  2. If you really want to cure the slice......go get a lesson or 2 from a teaching pro.   We can't see what is actually causing you to slice so we can't offer any good advice to cure it.

  3. here it is right here in these statements

if your right handed when you follow through you have to throw your hands out toward the right of you and follow through dont cut across it that just makes it go more left.  a drill for this is pick a spot out to the left in front of you and swing out toward that.

    make sure you fully followthrough

if your clubhead is toooo closed at impact the spin will make it slice more

if the clubhead is open it will slice

do not slide into the ball this is a big one

keep your head behind the ball

use your body dont swing with your arms

turn on your spin and hips

IF YOU FOLLOW ALL THESE STEPS YOU WILL NOT SLICE GUARANTEED!

  4. This is a common problem.  Make sure that you are starting your hips towards the ball FIRST before turning them into the swing.  This will create a smooth swing.  Good luck.

  5. Go and see a professional instructor to fix swing problems. Period. It will be well worth the cost of a couple of lessons to cure that slice permanently.

  6. you may be turning your hands/wrists between your back swing and striking the ball.  Try to keep your hands loose(don't grip to hard) but controlled.

  7. Buy a copy of Ben Hogan's "Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf" and commit it to memory. I never consistently broke 100 until I read this book. It will teach you everything you need to know using simple terms.
