  1. Everyone is different but it usually take a couple of weeks swinging everyday.

  2. This is probably the worse thing you can do in my opinion. There is no substitute for good tempo and balance that suits your swing. If you can master that, you will find the ball going straighter and longer. 260-270 straight down the shoot beats a 300+ yard drive in the woods anyday. I love playing these monster hitters, because, I can say from experience 95% cannot keep it in the fairway. Control, consistancy and practice is the key to improvment and makes golf much more fun.

  3. To add distance, do some strength training. Focus especially on your core (abs, back, chest) and your legs for a stable base. This will help you speed up the club head and accelerate through the ball with a more powerful turn. The hard swings with the donut may do more damage than good. And remember it's not all about length. Accuracy is much more important.

  4. Swinging really hard with the donut won't help.  It will tire you out and seriouslly hurt your golf game.  You want to work on extending your followthrough and transferring your weight.  You can still swing the donut, but only as a warmup to loosen you up a bit before a round.  Also, work on holding your release of your wrists until right before impact.  This will take a lot of practice hitting balls, but once you get it down, you will start hitting monsters down the fairway.  This helped me and I hope it helps you.

  5. Don't get ahead of yourself quite yet.  You are still young.  I would suggest to focus mainly on the accuracy portion of your game.  As you get older and start to mature you will notice your distance start to improve.  Take it from me.  I don't work out at all, I am 21 years old and weigh 130 pounds and a 4hdcp, and hit it 280-290.  It's all about technique.  Yes weights can help but technique is where it all happens.  Once you have a good swing then you will really start to notice the distance changes from working out.

  6. First, I hope you feel good about driving the ball 240 yards at 15. Like you, all of us are looking for ways to increase distance off the tee.

Don't over do it with your golf club donut because you could end up doing more harm then good.

When I was growing up, I played baseball and used  a donut in the on-deck circle like a lot of ball players. I wouldn't swing it for more than a few minutes and I used it to simply warm-up my muscles.  I think that same principle applies here.

Have patience. From my experience, there are a lot of factors that go into answering your question. Do you hit the practice range at least once a week. If so, I'd expect to see some initial improvement the next time you go out.

Good luck and congrats on your current driving distance.

  7. Your back will stiffen up and you won't be able to hit the ball at all after about 3 days. Instead do some stretching exercizes. What you want is a really really long slow backswing. Stop swinging the donut before you do yourself permanent damage.

  8. it depends a lot on how you hit the ball. so if you have a perfect swing now..then you just need muscle.  but if your swing is a little off...correcting it can add a lot of yardage.

  9. 240yards at 15 sounds good to me remember you are only 15 the PRO'S ARE ABOUT 280-320 so do not worry as you get older you will be able to hit further .

You do not say if 240yards is straight or to the left or right.
