Golf driving range.?

do you need to wear golf shoes to use a driving range??

Golf shoes is not a standard rule, but if you are in a driving range with real turf, and not hard concrete with a nylon mat ?

NO, in general trainers or the like are adequate, however, if you have soft spikes I would use them to replicate the height at which you would normally stand to the ball. Word of advice, hit the balls with an interval between each, setting up each time as you normally would. There is a tendency to get faster and faster, which can bring in all sorts of errors.

Not unless the golf course is something really posh - i never wear golf shoes even to play real golf but as far as i know there's no actual law

not really, but if you are in a driving range where the ground your standing on is grass or soil it is better to use one to prevent from slipping and injuring yourself.

Golf shoes dont help in the stance, the spikes are there for grip when traversing the course....a health and safety measure if you want.

Most clubs have a rule that states golf shoes must be worn while playing. If it allows you to play without golf shoes then it is not looking out for your welfare, and so therefore a poor golf club.

If the driving range is unattached to a golf club, then I would say no spikes needed...other than what was suggested in that your stance will be different, not only in height but also in feel....I would wear them.

No...not at all.  You will be standing on either a rubber mat, or astro turf, so normal trainers will be more than ok for that.

Nope. I've been to the driving range in high heels before (not advisable but it was an impromptu visit)!

I normally wear trainers and go to a number of different ranges and have never had any trouble.
