Golf for Money?

I have a passion for golf and want to know how I can turn it into a business. Any Ideas?

ok lets run down the things you can do.... my dad is a pga pro at a course so I have a good knowledge of the field.

To make a career out of golf you prolly should look into PGA somehow. I'm not talking about Touring pro, I'm a talking about PGA  of America. You can go through a schooling process takes about 2-3 years and you get your PGA card. Now you can be a head pro at a golf course or try to become a Merchandise Represantive with a company whos job is to go to golf shops and endorse new products and sell them as a middleman to the company. Or you could become a groundskeeper manager, who runs the people who take care of the course.

You can also give lessons when you have your PGA card, which is part of being a head pro. You can give lessons without one but prolly hard to get people to trust you know what your talking about.

Then there is starting your own business. You could open up a driving range or a golf indoor dome if in cold area. You can even purchase a large plot of land and build a small par 3 course. You could open up a golf store and sell merchandise. These are all more high risk investments but you could be successful.

If your familiar with training you could be a fitness trainer for golf training people how to excersise to prepare for golf.

All else fails you can start practicing and try win amateur tournaments and sell the prizes you win on ebay lol.

Other than gambling I'd suggest opening a driving range and work your way up to a golf course.  Or you can go into sales for equipment and clothing.  I bet you'd visit many golf courses.

I too have a passion for golf, but due to back surgery I can no longer play to a level that would take me to the pro level!!

What I did, and what you could do, is to start a golf blog and start writing about golf. You could monetize the blog with Google Adsense ads and write reviews about affiliate products. If you have a passion for golf, then it would not be that hard.
