Golf gloves?

what is the point of golf clubs, and why do players remove them to putt?

Because it is a poncy thing to do lol    I would say it was to stop their hand from slipping on the swing, and off to putt,  so they have full control over the club.............and are able to feel more! ;-)

Gloves give you a better grip and control when you are swinging full. When putting, you remove your glove to get a better feel. Having less between your skin and the grip aids in receiving a higher feedback. Not all pros remove it though.

Also, taking the glove off helps out with golfer's tan. That's really why I take mine off;)
