  1. During this day and age, I do not think that your potential will come up to college caliber. I marshall the Jr. Championship in the state of CT. where several of the youngsters between the ages of 14 thru 16 are shooting in the mid to high 70s. We have a limited golfing season compared with California and the southern tier states. There, the golfers of the same age groups are now shooting par to 3 over to compete in junior competition. These will be sub par shooters at the major golf colleges like AZ, GA Tech, Fla State, U of FL, Arkansas, Texas, Southern Methodist etc.

  2. Playing for a D1 school, i could help you out...

If you still dont think by the time you are a senior in highschool that you are going to be good enough to make a D3 team, try out for a junior college or a D4 team.  Then you can transfer after two years of VERY VALUABLE experience to a bigger school  Trust me, those two years at a community college really show you the difference in caliber.  The courses are much harder, everyone is much more serious, and your scores will go up for awhile.  Its just how it is.  The best thing to do is get comfortable with playing in big tournys on hard courses.  Continue to work on putting and chipping, as this is the most important part of the game.

    Good luck...

  3. depends what school.  I am a freshman at Penn State Hazleton (one of Penn State's satellite campuses, division 3) and you need a 90 to make the team and our best players are low 80s.  Now at division one schools, like Penn State Main, the best players shoot 70.

  4. thats a good score for a middle schooler. you should be on varsity your freshmen year. at my school you have to shoot around 84 to be on varsity (you want be the best at first of course). just keep playing and itll get lower. summer is coming and im gonna play my butt off. since the beginning of the year my score has gone down about 6 strokes. go to the driving range everyday. and play on weekends.

  5. keep practicing and get that handicap into the single digits and you'll be able to find a school that will let u play.
