Golf latest; Body found from the pond of Man O War Golf Course
Golf course is the best place for hiding a body, once you are done with it. That is why the dead body of Donald Raven was found from Man O War Golf Course in Myrtle Beach, Maryland.
The beautiful course of Man O War is located in Carolina Forest. The club has natural source of water and is known for its fierce lakes and various natural hazards.
On Thursday morning, green keeper of Man O War Golf Course reported a Honda Sports Utility Vehicle floating in the pond at 7 a.m. in the morning. Horry County fire rescue department rushed to the scene and recovered the vehicle within half an hour. However,
a horrific scene was yet to be witnessed. As soon as the authorities opened the car, a dead body was found at the driving seat.
Horry County Coroner Darris Fowler confirmed the news and said that “no foul play was suspected.”
South Carolina Highway Patrol was immediately called to take over the case. The Lance Corporal sent the body for identification and disclosed that it belonged to 47-year-old Donald Raven of Conway. While speaking to the press Lance Corporal Sonny Collins
said, “We are trying to figure out how it ended up in the pond and where they were coming from.”
The body has been sent for autopsy and the cause of death has not been disclosed yet. According to Collin, “The investigation may move a bit slower because we don't know the circumstances of the case. We hope to have a better understanding tomorrow.”
The Man O War Golf Course has been temporarily shut down for public and only media and investigating teams are allowed to visit it. The course has not been part of a tournament or any other major event, which is why the local community gathers in the place
for private functions. Keeping in view the informal functions and family events taking place on the course, the management has been showing leniency on security measures.
