  1. Tiger is the highest paid sports athlete in the world. And for a golfer, it's harder to earn money because you have to play for it, unlike football players who sign a contract and are guaranteed a certain amount of money.

  2. I would say it depends on how much time you give them.  A professional American Football player only has a career of about 5 years.  If lucky he could get $10M/YR plus some for endorsements or ads.  I would guess you are talking more about the other football which doesn't beat you up quite as much, I don't know how much they make (although Beckham got a boatload coming to LA).  Golfers in the US in the top 50 or so get their equipment and clothes paid for, plus get paid weekly to wear certain items, and play certain clubs.  That can be enough to cover most expenses, then first place in a tournament is usually close to $1M, but you only do that once maybe twice a year.  So on a one year basis I would say the footballer is likely to make more, but on a career basis it could go the other way.  Richest is going to depend on how well they each manage what they earn during their peak years.

  3. With endosments I would say footballers.

But with success in money earns when winning, I would say golfers.

  4. As an average, it's definitely the footballers. American or Association, their numbers are ridiculous. Maybe there are SOME golfers, like Tiger Woods, paid quite a lot more when they win tournaments and such, but I don't even believe they're on a set salary.

  5. golf players earn their money, they're not all rich you know
