  1. 9 holes ? I would say like a solid 90 would be a DECENT score from someone whos never played

  2. well tony romo was a competitive golfer in high school but focused on football. he tried to qualify for the US Open last week and shot a round of 99. so even though he has played  golf in the past that was pretty standard for someone who isnt a competitive golfer. i would say like myself never have picked up a club a round somewhere between 120-130 is average.

  3. a score off the charts.. i dont think you should keep score the first several times and just focus on trying to get the ball towards the little flag far away! after acouple times, write down you score when you go again.

  4. Don't bother scoring the first few times you play on a course, just go out and have fun. However, I'd at least get a couple of lessons from a pro. It'll help you decide whether you like it or not, whether you're a natural or if you'll have to sweat it out like the rest of us!

As far as a score on your first real round, it depends on what I said above. The vast majority of "regular" players will probably score a 130-140 or more. I knew a guy who went out on his first round and scored 105: he was a natural and only dropped shots on his putting.

Good luck, and have fun with the beautiful game!

  5. if you get a handicap of 30 then your doing well, maybe even 60, im 30 n been playing all my life n im playing off 14

  6. dont golf i tired once and i like died. im reatrted wif golf

  7. +50

  8. On my first go on a 9 hole course I scored about 75-80. It was a hot day and I didn't have a drink. I was unhappy

  9. You would be lucky to break 100, if you are athletic and have played sports before you might hit in the 90's.

  10. the typical score for a beginner for on an 18 hole course is less than 85! trust me!

  11. 130 ish.

  12. I think it really depends on the difficulty of the course.

  13. If you really want to play on a regular basis, I'd suggest that you not even keep score at first.  You're going to score well over 100 for your first time, probably 120 or more.  If you take lessons, get some decent equipment and practice, practice, practice, in a couple of years MAYBE you'll be breaking 100.

    Good luck.

  14. If your going to go play you should play double par.  That means when you get twice the par on a hole you pick up and put double the par so if you were on a par 4 the worst you could get would be an 8

  15. the first time i went golfing i shot a 49 on a par 35 at 3800 yrds, but i have had friends who have shot in the 60's on 9 holes
