  1. what a caddie makes does not keep someone out of q school

a golfer goes to q school to get an exemption to play golf with the pros.... not to caddy with the pros.

  2. Eddie, you do the math. Caddies generally get about 10% of the winners earnings. It was rumored that Fluff got the boot because he revealed how much Tiger was paying him. Steve, wisely, hasn't spilled his guts on that subject... he knows who butters his bread. But IF Steve does get the ballpark 10%, he'd be in 95th place (so far in '08), putting him in the top 125 IF those were a golfers earnings. Not a bad gig if you can get it!

  3. No one knows the relationship a pro has with his caddie. This is a very unique pairing. Steve Williams is well paid, I'm sure, But those numbers are never, and should never be published. I'm sure it's about the ride. What a perfect look at history for the man on your bag.

  4. Each caddie has his own unique deal with the his golfer, but the rule of thumb is about 10% of winnings.  At that rate yes Wood's caddy would make enough to stay in the top 125 on the money list.
