  1. I have had Footjoy, Etonic, Nike and Adidas.  I like Adidas the best.  It gives the most stable foundation for me as I have active feet.

  2. Foot Joy

  3. I have used footjoys for a while and have loved them. They are generally more than 175 though. I wanted recently to get some new shoes as my footjoys had 2 years of use. I golf pretty consistantly and I wanted something that would last and look good. I really like the Adidas PowerBand. So far they seem to last and they are really comfortable. I like them just as much as my 250$ footjoys. I bought them for 140 bucks.

  4. Under $175 , you will have a relatively wide range of shoes to pick from. The best thus far is Footjoy.

I'd tried Nike, Etonic (spikeless), addidas, Footjoy and callaway. The best still Footjoy in terms of both comfort as well as lasting.

  5. well there's really comfortable ones at sports authority, or academy sports for very cheap prices. durable and nice looking, some under $50 even!!!

  6. Golf shoes provide two main advantages over regular shoes. One, they spikes which help keep your feet anchored and thus help provide balance and stability during the golf swing. Two, they are generally waterproof to keep you feet dry when the ground contains moisture.

Apart from this, I would say the real key to finding ones that are the best for you is to find ones that are comfortable. Part of golf is walking 4 to 6 miles over a 4 hour period so it is very key to find something that doesnt hurt your feet. Everyone foot is different so try different brands to find the best comfort. Nothing could be more detrimental to your game than an uncomfortable shoe.

Otherwise, the amount of money you pay is like in any kind of shoe: the quality of the leather, the quality of the sole, the longevity of the material, alot of which contribute to how good looking the shoe is and not how it affects your golf game.

For me, I have always prefered Footjoy shoes from around 80 to 120 USD, or less if you find last years model on sale. I dont usually prefer Nike golf gear, but they have made a name for themselves making quality footwear so they are probably worth a look as well.

  7. I just recently picked up a pair of Foot Joy spiked sandals at d**k's Sporting Goods.

I guess I'm a little biased as I pretty much only wear sandals during the summer, but these are far more comfortable than any golf shoe I've ever owned.

  8. Hi-Tec Men's CDT Super Power Tour Golf

  9. Adidas

  10. footjoys are the best, i have the dryjoys and i stepped in a huge pudle of water a couple of inches high and i didnt even get wet, adidas are good but the good ones are like $250. Go with footjoy they are #1.

  11. NIKI

  12. IMHO golf sandals should be banned. Make up your mind. Go to the beach or the golf course.

I've worn about every shoe made. 100+ rounds/year. Foot Joys are by far the most comfortable and longest lasting. I've liked a number of Adidas shoes, but they don't last nearly as long as Foot Joys. At least for me.

  13. IMO, the Addidas Comfort Stripe is the best deal going.  I think that they are exactly $75 and they are very comfortable.  I have had two pair now and they've been great.  They also have a two year water-proof guarantee, which is great if you play in the early morning dew very often.

  14. Different shoe manufacturer's use different lasts which will determine the shape of the shoe and how well it fits you.  For $175 there are a huge number of shoes available, so just go to Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith and start trying them on for the best most comfortable fit for you.  I have been wearing mostly Footjoy the past 20 years or so, but have also liked Etonics as both brands fit my foot well.
