  1. Best tip of all - dont take 'tips' from other golfers.

Go to your local range, and hit balls. Get to the point where you can hit the ball on a regular basis (direction doesnt matter), then take lessons.

Most 'tips' lead to bad habits, and what works for one person - doesnt work for another.

Example - head down - how far down? How long does it stay down? Watch the pros, are their heads 'down', or are they about a 20 degree angle? Its an easy tip to give, but it really doesnt do anything but confuse people.

    Good Luck

  2. Here you go: http://www.golf-clubhouse.net/golf-artic...

    :-)

  3. eye on the ball

    swing back

    keep your left arm stiff

create a power angle (right angle with your right arm)

    look over your shoulder

    swing down

*don't bend your wrists on your upswing

    move hips

  4. first tip would be go see PGA pro for lessons, second tip see tip number one...

  5. Take a half swing not a full swing until you learn how to hit a ball. Do not expect improvement overnight  enjoy the game

  6. Assuming you have clubs, buy a book on basic instructions.  98% of golf instruction books get you to grip the club correctly, this takes time but you can do it sitting in front of the telly.  It will feel awkward at first but persivere, it will pay off in the end.  The book will also tell you how to stand and address the ball.  Once you get these points correct go to a range and try swinging and hitting balls with different clubs till you gain in confidence.  When you can hit the ball reasonably go for lessons from a golf Pro.  You do not need to be a member of a club to go for lessons from the Pro.  Hope that helps.
