Golf update, the 13 player list for the Masters 2011
The Masters at Augusta National will commence from 7th April 2011, with a highly competitive line up, which includes Ryo Ishikawa, Francesco Molinari, Edoardo Molinari, Charl Schwartzel, and nine more.
With the qualified queue ready with their armour and sticks, Ishikawa is said to have made it through to the race for the 2011 Masters, after the final world rankings were finalized for the year 2010.
The Masters scheduled to be held at the Augusta National Golf Club welcomes the top 50 players from the world rankings and has allowed them to step into the men's major championship for next year.
As for the earlier stated line-up, Ishikawa won the Japan Tour's Crowns tournament and sealed his reputation of being a young prodigy. The nineteen-year-old golfer carded an impressive score of 58 in May and was able to grab one major golf tour for his record. Ishikawa has bagged eight tournament victories till now from his homeland and hasn’t been able to win outside his motherland since the year 2007.
According to world rankings, the nineteen-year-old slowly climbed the grades and stepped up from 51st to 45th position in the month of October. He then moved to the 37th place at the final ranking this week.
Below the teen sensation, the 41st and 48th place is held by Yuta Ikeda and Hiroyuki Fujita, respectively. They will be stepping into the Augusta GC along with Kim Kyung-tae by their side. The South Korean claims the 30th place at the listing and is known as the highest ranked player in Asia.
Coming out of Asia and stepping into Italy, the Molinari brothers make it to the 2011 Masters, after grabbing the 15th place from the Francesco Molinari side and a difference of three spots by Edoardo Molinari. The listing also displays Schwartzel, with 34th place, where the South African will be playing alongside Rickie Fowler from America.
The competition will also include the presence of Robert Karlsson and Alvaro Quiros. The golfers from Sweden and Spain hold the number 17th and 49th positions, respectively.
With 50 golfers from the 2010 rankings competing, the annual tee off will be holding a total of 92 players next April and will be a mixture of newcomers.
