Hi, if youre the guy who answered my golf question about the specs...thanks a lot explained it easy...decided to take up the chance to ask another...

Is it wise to buy clubs online....

i found a site DHgate.com....found a full set of titleist for $220...

I know people that buy their clubs online ALL THE TIME...and from reputable dealers, too!

Plus side:  Great prices!

Down side:  outside chance of getting ripped off.

Ebay is usually pretty reliable.  Ebay tells you the history of the seller, for the most part.  $220 sounds like a pretty good deal for a new set ot Titleists.

Do your research, then go for it!  If more people thought like your 1st Answerer, Ebay would have gone bankrupt years ago!

Is that me??? My advice is a big NO!!! Since you don't really know what you are looking for I would suggest you find a good golf shop. Are you going to spend an extra $100, $150, $200??? In my own opinion the extra money is worth it.

I just recently started cycling. The first thing I did was to start looking for a used bike on Cragslist. After some hemming and hawing I decided to go to some local bike shops and look around. To make a long story short I ended spending $400 more on a bike than I had budgeted. AND IT WAS THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!!! Remember this, if you by the cheapest thing on the market then you will end up with a lot of regrets. If you spend more then expected then you will have only one regret; you spent a little to much money.

A golf shop will fit you to some golf clubs and answer any questions you might have. A lot of people are afraid of asking  "dumb" questions, don't be!!! I went to several different cycle shops until I found one that didn't treat me like and idiot (seriously, you would have thought that I was intruding on THEIR time).

How familiar are you with DHgate.com? How old are the set of Titleists which are selling for $220 ? There are Titleists which could be from the first clubs offered by Achusnet.
