  1. 1.What do players call a swing of their golf club?

    A Swing or a Stroke

2.A full game of golf consists of how many holes?

18 holes assuming no tie, if tie you can go to a playoff of some sort. If you're playing for fun you can decide your own rules.

    3.What is par?

The # of shots it takes to be even for the hole. Each hole can either be par 3, 4, or 5. Usually for 18 holes par is 76.

    4.What is the "tee"?

Where you tee off at the beginning of the hole you set your ball on a usually wooden tee to hit the ball off of.

5.What do you call the side of the fairway?

    The rough.

6.What marks the hole that the players want to get to?

    A flag

7.What is a "hole in one"?

Make the ball in the hole in one hit.

8.What is a handicap as it relates to golf?

Basically it is a rating for how good you are. Using a formula considering where you play, your golf score that you shot, etc.

9.What does it mean to have a zero handicap?

    You're pretty good.

10.Where is the game of golf believed to have originated?

People will argue this. But it is believed to be from Great Brittain/Scotland area.

  2. 1. Other than swing, IDK.

    2. 18, however certain clubs allow all day play which means you play however much you want.

    3.  Par represents scoring in golf.

    4.  The tee is a little piece of wood or plastic you place the golf ball on in order to hit your first shot on a hole.

    5.  The rough

    6.  A flagstick

    7.  A tee shot going into the hole.  Done on par 3 holes most often, but can be done on a par 4 hole

    8.  A handicap determines the level of skill a golfer has.  The lower the handicap, the better the golfer.

    9.  An individual with a zero handicap is an excellent golfer(PGA Tour level)

    10. Scotland

  3. 1. Swing

    2.18

3.Par is above average. If a hole is a par 4 then and average golfer would get it in in just over 4 shots. holes are par 3,4 or 5

    4. The tee is what you put the ball on when hitting your drive on your first shot of a hole

    5. The rough

    6. A flag

7.When you get the ball in the hole in one shot

8.The handicap tells you your average score on an 18 hole course

Ex. Bob is a 5handicap. Bob will shoot about 5 over par in an 18 whole round

9.It means on average you will shoot even par in a round of golf

    10. Scottland

  4. 1.What do players call a swing of their golf club?

    Shot/swing/stroke.

2.A full game of golf consists of how many holes?

    18

    3.What is par?

A predetermined number of strokes that a golfer is expected to take in order to get the ball from the tee box into the hole on the green. Depending on the yardage of the hole, the par is usually longer or shorter. They range from par threes to par fives.

    4.What is the "tee"?

The tee itself is a small object with a pointy end and a flat top. The pointy end is stuck into the ground and the ball rests atop it on the flat part. This is only used for the first stroke off each whole (the tee shot).

5.What do you call the side of the fairway?

    The rough.

6.What marks the hole that the players want to get to?

    A flag.

7.What is a "hole in one"?

A hole in one is when the player hits their first shot (the tee shot) and the ball lands on the green and goes into the hole without any other shots. Very lucky!

8.What is a handicap as it relates to golf?

A handicap measures a player's ability and allows them to deduct a certain amount of strokes from their score to make them compatible with other players. The better the player, the lower their handicap.

9.What does it mean to have a zero handicap?

You are an exceptionally good player who does not need a slight advantage of any kind.

10.Where is the game of golf believed to have originated?

I'm sure people will debate about this but I believe it originated around Great Britain or Scotland.

    Hope this helps you!
