Gone with the wind, HELP!!!? 10 points!!!?

i've read the book gone with the wind and now have a packet of questions to answer! i just need some help on 2 questions, because i cant figure them out.

PLEASE HELP! i have to turn this in on the first day of school!

1. name 1 or 2 minor characters. show how each effected the main character.

2.what literary techique did you find? (fore shadowing or figurative language?) find an example of one of the techniques, and share.

i wont copy what you said. im just needing ideas of what to say!

Ok, without writing it all for you, let's see if we can help YOU figure this out...

1) Who is THE MAIN character of this book?  (You know this.)  List a few of the characters that help her throughout the book.  Make a list of them on a paper and ask yourself, "What did they do for her?," "What help did they provide?, "Did any of these help her solve a problem?,"

Think of the dialogue they had together and the situations they were in, and see if you can find where the main character was changed personally or helped her become more courageous Etc?

Hint: The part where Melanie's baby was going to be born?

Hint: Was the MAIN character the same after that ordeal? Name the characters involved and describe why or how they changed.

As for the question about literary techniques, take the one: figurative language.  What does that mean exactly?  Then look for parts in the book that match it being implemented.  (Hint: Conversations)

Sissy, the female slave, was a minor character that stayed with Scarlett throughout the book.  Because of that, what did her actions cause?

Consider the death of Bonnie Blue (?) and how that effected Scarlett and Rhett's marriage.

I can't think of any literary techniques at the moment.  If I do, I'll edit this response.
