After making many off-the-bench appearances this season, Gonzalo Higuain has admitted he is not satisfied and hasn’t said anything about his future at the Spanish club.
This season Jose Mourinho helped Real Madrid take the Spanish La Liga crown. However, all this was done at the expense of many players being dissatisfied because of lack of time they were being given on the pitch.
There is no doubt that the Portuguese mentor assembled one of the strongest sides in Europe, but with everyone being a phenomenal player, not every player can take over the pitch as the game starts.
One player who was sacrificed during the season was Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentinean star, despite his outstanding goals-to-minute ratio, was rarely chosen over the Frenchman, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350.
In a recent interview with Marca, Gonzalo Higuain has admitted that he wasn’t really satisfied with the role he was given throughout the season.
The Argentinean striker said that he is still not sure whether he will leave the club; however, he also admitted that the standing ovation given to him during the 4-1 win over Mallorca on the last day of the league made him happy as he got to know that 80,000
fans want him to stay.
"I was thrilled that 80,000 people were asking me to stay. It was spectacular. I was thrilled, no question."
Since Higuain is one of the most prolific strikers at the moment, and since Mourinho keeps him on the bench for most the games, many elite European clubs have shown interest in signing him.
Teams who want to become strong in the future, and who are investing in their clubs want the player to join them.
PSG and Juventus are both monitoring the situation of Higuain at the moment. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082, Higuain’s fellow Argentinean player, currently plays in PSG and recently said that he would like to see the Real Madrid star in the French League.
On the other hand, Juventus are after the Argentinean star as well.
However, Higuain said:
"It was a tough year. When you don't play, you suffer, but after the hard times it ended on a high note with our title win."
While speaking about his future, he claimed:
"I know nothing, and every time I read the newspapers I know less because more and more lies are being said. What I want most of all now is to enjoy the success of the season with Madrid and to relax."
Is Higuain going to stay at Real Madrid or will he be departing from the Spanish capital soon? Only time can tell.
