Despite speculations surrounding his departure from the Spanish club, Gonzalo Higuain is going to sign a new contract with Los Blancos, binding him to the club until 2016.
Last season Gonzalo Higuain was able to score more goals as compared to Karim Benzema, even though he was not a first-choice player for Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese coach always picked Karim Benzema over Gonzalo Higuain during big games, but the Argentinean striker always managed to find the back of the net, even though he mostly came off the bench to prove his worth.
However, despite scoring a lot of goals for Los Blancos, Higuain never became a first-choice player for Jose Mourinho and many thought that the Argentinean striker will be joining another club during the summer transfer window so that he can receive first-team
action.
All these rumours were burnt down by the Argentinean himself, when he admitted that he wants to stay at the Spanish capital so that he can win more silverware.
Recently, the French league side, PSG, were interested in signing the Real Madrid duo, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350 and Gonzalo Higuain, but both the players rejected the offer and that means that they will be staying in the Spanish club at least for one more season.
Reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 now suggest that Higuain will be signing a new contract with Real Madrid and it’s going to bind the Argentinean striker with the Spanish capital-based club until the year 2016.
The 24-year-old’s salary is expected to remain at the same level, which is 4.5 million Euros, but his representatives have reportedly asked the management to increase this amount.
With Gonzalo Higuain staying at the Spanish capital, it means Mourinho is going to have one extraordinary striker available to him at all times and even though there are many clubs interested in signing the Argentinean striker, he is willing to win more
trophies with Los Blancos.
Reports also suggest that after the contract with Gonzalo Higuain has been signed, Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, will try and sign new contracts with other star players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629.
