Question:

Good, Cheap Food in London?

Hi everyone, I am just wondering if anyone knows any place to eat good British/Chinese take-away. Pls only mention cheap places as I am on a student budget :)

So far, The Golden Hind, Coastas Fish Restaurant and Square Pie Company are on the itinerary.

Also, are there any nice parks open to the public? Somewhere preferably around the Notting Hill area.

Thanks a lot :)

  1. Chinese take away? There are lots in china town - it is some of the cheapest in london. Either that or when walking around your area you will notice chinese places which will probably be where you get your food from - cause for take away you ideally want it delivered (whats the point in going to a restaurant to get food to eat it at home, if its slightly cheaper you still have hassle and spend money on travel)

If you are into cornish pasties and stuff check out the cornish pasty co (something like that) they are dotted around everywhere

Nice parks open to the public? Well notting hill is very close to marble arch - which in turn is very close to st john's wood. My favourite park is regents park - also primrose hill park is quite nice with views of london on the hill.

Hyde park is the biggest in London and quite nice - and since i assume you will be near notting hill gate tube station - it is only 2 or 3 stops away (depending which entrance - lancaster gate or marble arch)

St james park is near hyde park but i've never been but heard its nice.

My fav is regents park cause its my closest and its big and nice and because of the lake - in summertime we use the boats and its a lot of fun.

Hope this helps and welcome to london!
