Or any other nice place that's not too expensive(we don't have a lot of money). Thanks a lot.

  1. Ive never been to silver diner or friendlys.

texas roadhouse- a little pricey, but excellent food.  fun atmosphere- throwing peanut shells on the ground etc.  a typical steakhouse with good food.

tgi fridays- more of an applebees type place.  i feel that their food has gone downhill lately and their prices have gone up (still fairly reasonable though), and i have read that other people feel the same.

boston market- excellent food, and you can get some healthy stuff too.  this place has a lot of flavorful stuff.  juicy food too.  it seems a little pricey for what it is, but its sooo good.  i think their meatloaf is the best meatloaf ive ever had.  super flavorful chicken.  my dad loves their turkey and dressing.  oh the mashed potatoes are great too.

do you have a logans steakhouse around you?  they have a special on mondays and tuesdays, 2 meals for $14.

  2. Applebees

    Chilis

Buffet's are always worth the money

If your going for lunch, Olive Garden does their soup, salad, breadstick deal from 11am-4pm for 6 bucks!

  3. In my area we have some local restaurants that are better and slightly cheaper than the chains.  You should try out some of those in your area.  Most places have lunch specials so that saves a lot.  We have locally owned steak houses in my area that are cheaper than Texas Road House, like half of their price.   Like Olive Garden, about half the items on their menu tasted like Ragu or something.  But we have a local Italian restaurant, well small chain like 3 stores that is a couple of dollars cheaper a plate but the food is awesome!  Try around for some private places.

  4. I like

    Olive Garden and Chilis

  5. chili's is a good place. they have a variety of food and it isn't expensive.

texas roadhouse has a fun atmosphere the waiters were line dancing when i was there.

ruby tuesday has good food and a salad buffet. they also have a good lemonade.

if you like bbq famous daves has the best ribs you will ever eat.

for chinese food, pei weis is very good and the food is fast but it is fresh.

for italian olive garden is ok but macaroni grill is better although they don't do salad and bread sticks. but they have this really good bread that you dip in olive oil and herbs its worth a try!

if there is one in your area, check out paradise bakery! they have delicious sandwiches and salads. plus they give you a free chocolate chip cookie with your sandwich!

mexican food the only national place i can think of is chipotle. their meat isn't raised with hormones.

  6. My personal favorite restaurant, that is not very expensive, is Olive Garden.

They have THE best pasta you will ever have. I personally get the Fettucine Alfredo with grilled chicken on it, and it is GREAT. But if you are not into that, they also have many other options, such as spaghetti with meatballs or meat sauce, lasagna, chicken parmesan, and many, many other Italian dishes.

And, the best part about Olive Garden is, you get UNLIMITED breadsticks, and your choice of unlimited of either soup or salad. Their breadsticks are simply amazing, and they have very good soup. I get the Zuppa Toscana, which is sausage and potato bits in a broth, and it is very good. You could also get salad though instead of the soup. Both the soup/salad and breadsticks come unlimited, for free with every entree.

If you are going for lunch, then it is not very expensive at all. A plate of spaghetti or fettucine alfredo will run around $9-10 for lunch, with soup/salad and breadsticks.

Then, if you still have room, they have really good desserts. My personal favorite is the Brown Tie Mousse Cake (I think that's what it's called). But their desserts are a little pricey.

So if you want a really good dessert, try Cold Stone Creamery (if you have any near you). The ice cream there is to die for, and will only cost you about $7 or $8 for both of you.

I hope that helped. Enjoy your lunch!
