  1. could always go get your a&p license and be fixing them.... i like my job and the pays good

  2. get you A&P first, then you can decide if you want to go for engineering, or even be a pilot.  As an A&P you will have to deal with upset pilots now and then, but it's a great stepping stone.

  3. If you want to use your noodle, it's never too late for an engineering degree.. even if you don't end up working for NASA, there's still plenty of cool jobs out there..

  4. The best time to use your noodle is in making the decision to stay away from aviation. There are some cool aspects to it, but when its all said and done, you will not get paid what you deserve and you will be working in an industry that is heavily dependent on oil

  5. If you want to use your brain instead of your body, then cargo is the wrong place to look!  Check out airline dispatcher jobs...  Lots of brain work, and no passengers to deal with.

  6. What i would suggest is a ramp tower job...you don't need to go to FAA Air traffic controller school and is basically the same thing expect you work for a specific airline or airport...

I have seen them many many times hire folks right off the streets for entry level work. look nice be clean and sober and NO drugs (flying public depends on that from the person unloading the trucks to the pilots) I hear they even do a credit check now. great co. to work for.
