Good Beginner Electric Guitar?

I am interested in learning to play the electric guitar, but I am not sure on what to look for, what to buy, etc. I want something that isn't a piece of junk, but won't cost me an arm and a leg. The only instrument that I play is the saxophone, which I've played for eight years. Please help.

  1. i bought a squire bullet. its made by fender and its pretty much the same as a strat from fender. it has three pickups and a five way switch that gives a good sound. its pretty inexpensive. on ebay u can get a new one for like 100 and a used one for around 75

  2. I personally recommend this: http://www.guitarcenter.com/-i1361500.gc   It is a very good guitar for it's price, and isn't too expensive.  Some good companies are Epiphone and Squire, which are smaller branches of Gibson and Fender (Two very good companies), and they make cheaper versions of Gibson/Fender guitars that are still pretty darn good.

                  Good Luck!

  3. start off with a  fender strat by squiler they are only like a hundred bucks

never ever ever get a first act guitar EVER
