  1. Must have teknik?

  2. Straight pool is my favorite game. It's "technical" name is 14.1 continuous. One pocket is a great game as well. I also play a bit of rotation. Bank pool is a great challenge for skilled players. You can find the rules for straight pool and one pocket at the BCA and WPA websites. Just google the other games to find their rules.

  3. 7,8 &9 ball, 14.1 continuous is my favorite, cut-throat, high-ball

  4. 6 ball

    7ball

    8ball

    9ball

    10ball

    Rotation

    14-1 straight

    Banks

    Kelly-pea

    Plus a few dozen more

  5. I've always liked Bottle Pool, which I don't ever see anyone playing anymore.  Use the 1 & 2 ball, start with them spotted 2 on the Head spot, 1 on the foot spot with the "pill" bottle emptied and turned upside down.  Score 1 point for sinking the 1, 2 points for sinking the 2, and 3 points for knocking over the bottle with the cue ball after hitting an object ball.  Play to a pre-determined point total.

  6. 3 ball is another one and is good for gambling. You rack only 3 balls and you have 5 shots or less to make all 3. Who ever does it in the least amount of turns wins.

  7. One of my favs is cuthroat.....you need 3 to play....each player is assigned 5 balls, and the object is to hit in all your opponents balls.  So whoever breaks, get 1-5, whoever shoots next is 6-10 and last is 11-15.  And if someone scratches the other two guys each get to spot a ball that was previously sunk.  Last one with only his balls on the table wins....good luck!
