  1. The Omnivore's Dilemma

  2. Two of my favorite Ecology texts are by Robert Leo Smith and by Eugene Odum. Wagner has a good book in Environmental Science. Be warned, these are not on environmentalism; these are about real science.

  3. Fatal Harvest

    Living Downstream

    Diet for a Small Planet

    Should Trees Have Standing?

    GRUB

    Ishmael

    The War on Bugs

    many others...

  4. One of the things I do for the environment is to buy local food. The benifits are decreased transportation, less chemicial and you support your local farmers.

    I recommend the 100-Mile Diet.

  5. you can go to your local library and i will promise you that you will find more than plenty of book on what you need. That's where i would go! Personally.

    HOPE I HELPED!!!!!

  6. Bury my heart at wounded knee,by dee brown. You'll get the point and some sad American history too.

  7. Read a couple by E.O.Wilson.

The Creation: An Appeal to Save Life on Earth

    The Future of Life

    Consilience

    And many more...

If you know about "Silent Spring," you probably know about Aldo Leopold's "Sand County Almanac." It should be on your reading short list, it's a classic.

Right now I'm reading Bill McKibbon's "Deep Economy," and after that I'm reading "The Great Warming: Climate Change and the Rise and Fall of Civilizations," by Brian Fagan.

  8. "The World Without Us" by Alan Weisman, is a thought-provoking and original approach to looking at humanity's impact on our planet.
