Hey,

I am going to my local Catholic store in a little while, and I need some advice on what Catholic Catechism to get. I want something that is easy to understand, and meant for teens or young adults.

the website for this store is www.inhisname.com . There are no Catechisms for teens, so I will need something that I can read. They have Baltimore ones...

Or, should I just wait until I graduate 8th grade, my Bishop gives them out for free.

  1. None of the above. This dogma does not appear anywhere in the Bible...The Book that comes from God. Anything that is not written in or does not agree with the Bible non-existent in God's eyes.

  2. the latest catechism is really only good for discussion purposes, the one that most catholics grew up with were easy to remember and digest, what i suggest you do is get the old one ,read it, study it and if comfortable with that, go on to the big one, i use it a lot for reference

  3. Ask the store clerks for advice.  They know what sells well and what customers' opinions are.

"The Catechism of the Catholic Church" is a little heavy, so you're on the right track seeking a catechism aimed at your age group.

  4. The Baltimore Catechism is over a hundred years old.

The best one available is simply "The Catechism of the Catholic Church (2nd Edition)".

  5. Check with the priest who will be teaching the classes.
