So for students with the following qualifications, which colleges would be good to apply for? (reach schools not schools that will pretty much guarantee 100% admission)

Maybe like around 5 colleges? Berkeley is one I want to go tooooo.

GPA: 3.7-3.85 (unweighted) or 4.0 to 4.2 (weighted)

SAT Physics: 700-760

SAT Math: 790-800

SAT: 2150-2240

No sports but say 100-200 hours of volunteer...and a 40 hr/week job in the summer but 12 hr/week job during senior school year.

Thanks everyone - i asked a hard question cause i know there are such good answerers!! :)

  1. You may not like my answer but I can't do the work for you. College applications are really more than putting in your scores and ending up with answers. I would suggest checking out counselor-o-matic on princetonreview.com or using collegeboard.com for a college search. This will give you some ideas but ultimately its up to personal opinion. Visit campuses if you havent already and decide what you like. If you like Berkeley, think about why? is it the big campus or the urban environment? A college student told me the best words of advice: just sit under a tree at each school you're considering and you'll get a sense.
