Question:

Good Drama Audition Material?

for my drama audition for juilliard, i'm required to provide 4 contrasting monologues, one classical, one contemporary, one shakespearean and i'm not too sure about the last one. i'm also told to be prepared to sing 16 bars of any song (to show range and resonance). what are some suggestions for strong monologues? i'm thinking about singing some NSYNC, since i know most of their songs and how to hit the notes. send any ideas you may have for good, strong, complex audition materials! thanks!

  1. for the shakespeare monolouge you can do a part from ceaser..its mark antony's speech that he gives at ceasers funeral..we did it in class and it was amazing and allows yoou to give alot of emotions.

just in case you look it up it starts:

"friends, romans, countrymen, lend me your ears

i've come to bury ceaser not to praise him"

but it goes on from there...

    i hope this helps!!

  2. Prepare a super song. ( you sing) have a resume ready, and have a timeline of your acting history. GL
