Good Father Daughter dance song..I am adopted..?

My Parents adopted me when I was 5 and in 6 weeks I get married. I am having a problem finding a father/daughter song. All the songs talked about, The First breath she breathed, wrapped in pink, learning to walk, seeing you as a baby etc. Advice.

I was 6 when I got adopted from korea and i was thinking the same thing.  but i am just going to dance to the song that we sang in the truck alone together when i was really little.  its called the "Daddy What If"...by Bobby Bare.  We will taint the song by putting my name instead of Bobby Jr. the song is short so we might dance to a fast song after that...but not quite sure if my dad will do a funny dance:).

my suggestion is to remember an old song that you guys love to listen to together if any and dance to that:).  the lyrics dont have to be a father daughter relation.  "Dont want to miss a thing" by Aerosmith is another good song. it has nothing to do with kid being a infant.  Good Luck Girl!

You  do not have to do the traditional Daddy songs. Things like ButterflyKisses make me want to hurl anyway -- but thats me.

Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World which I linked to above is what I would most likely pick for a dance with my dad if I was doing it now.

I did not have a wedding dance but back then in 1992 I probably would have picked Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles.

Although...we had such a wicked sense of humor together I might have picked the Harry Connick version of If I Only Had a Brain -- which he croons like a love song and is very sweet -- or Imagination is Funny.

I asked them to play Kelly Clarkson's song " A Moment Like This" it was like her first song, she sang when she won the idol show. It was perfect. go find it and listen to it, not sure if it matters if you were adopted or not.
