  1. For a 7 hour practice, you are going to need real food (rather than snacks) at some point.  Do bring the things you said, and don't forget the water.

I suggest either turkey or roast beef sandwiches without any mayo or mustard (you can bring packets if you like, but give yourself the choice of adding them after you see how you feel--bread and meat is usually what my stomach is ready for).  When I go to a tournament on the road, putting an arby's sandwich in my cooler is always a winner.  So is bringing some tortillas, some cheese, and some of that pre-cooked chicken people like to put on their salads to make a quick burrito with.

I find sports drinks too sugary for serious exertion, but I have friends who dilute their gatorade with water and really enjoy it.

  2. Champ's answer is pretty good.  On that note, I'll say that some sugars are actually good.  Those sugars need to come from fruits (bananas are great, because the potassium also fights the lactic acid that makes you stiff after a long workout), though, and not junk food.  Instead of beef jerky, try lean turkey sandwiches with maybe lettuce and tomato, but no mayo or miracle whip.  That stuff is too laden with unhealthy fats.  When practice is out, get some pastas in your system, along with more fruits and veggies...and HYDRATE LIKE NO BODY'S BUSINESS!!!  stay away form pop and other carbonated stuff.

  3. Lots of water and foods with potassium like bananas and other vegetables. Also the granola bars are good too also don't drink too much gatorade and vitamin water because your body needs time to process all the other stuff too.

  4. Well For sure Lots of Water, and if your planning on getting in shape and not blowing it just eat good foods.  Dont blow it by eating fast food and sugar (things that wont help).  Bring granola bars, power bars, whatever is healthy you have that you can eat, it may not sound like you will eat all that now but when your on the field your going to want it.

  5. haha you qot two - a - days dont youu ?
