Question:

Good Frequent Flyer miles program?

I've been flying a lot lately and I book through expedia.com everytime. Does anyone know of any good frequent flyer program to join to capitalize on my past flights or future ones?

I don't fly the same airline everytime since I book through expedia.com and choose the price and time that fits rather than the airline.

Thanks!

  1. The Star Alliance and the One World Alliance are probably the two best and largest frequent flyer alliances available. You can join the frequent flyer program of any of the partner airlines and accumulate miles on that particular program when you fly any of the airlines in the alliance. It's probably best to join the program of the airline you fly the most and can redeem award travel on any of the airlines in the alliance. It doesn't hurt to join the program of all the airlines you fly, but try to accumulate your miles on one airline if possible to be able to reap the benefits more quickly.

  2. You're going to have trouble getting in any airline's good graces if you don't show SOME loyalty to an airline.  That said, Southwest is pretty good about the "buy X trips, get Y trips" type of program.  I don't think they really care about offering perks, because there aren't any they can offer.  They don't have first class!

You might also look at points.com, which is sort of a points exchange that lets you pool your airline miles, at a penalty of course.  On points.com, Delta is the most trouble about transferring miles.

    Hope this helps.
